Climate experts say that burning coal causes cyclones, but they used to say that cyclones caused burning coal.

    Wait, if coal causes cyclones, why did all those Spanish ships end up sunk in the Caribbean from storms?

    Actually if you think about it cyclones did (probably) cause some coal to be produced. Tropical and sub tropical swamps get plastered by tropical cyclone/hurricane. Trees, brush, plants knocked over, ripped up, die and sink into said anaerobic swamp and don’t decompose, get silted over and over until lots of pressure and heat as it sinks further into the crust… the beginning of a lot of portable energy. A few million years later we dig it up and finish the job of decomposing it (rapidly) and harvesting the energy.
