Useful Idiot Of The Month

Bob Ingliss is a RINO former Congressman who was unseated by Trey Gowdy in the 2010 South Carolina Republican Primary. Bob happily participated in Naomi Oreskes fully fraudulent McCarthyite attack against Marlo Lewis, Myron Ebell, Chris Horner and Marc Morano – because his kid told him he would only vote for him if he agreed with the Al Gore climate propaganda he had been hearing in school.

Bob happily appeared on stage with junk scientists Michael Mann and Katherine Hayhoe, and apparently believes that Barack Obama can actually control hurricanes and sea level rises.

On climate change, Inglis said that conservatives should go with the facts, and the science, and accept the National Academy of Science’s conclusion that climate change is caused by human activities and poses significant risks, which 95 percent of climate scientists agree with.

Forty years ago, the National Academy of Sciences wanted to evacuate 6 million people to save them from global cooling.

Bob reminded me of a rabbit in tharn – blinded by the bright lights and having absolutely no clue what is going on around him. As such, he easily wins “useful idiot of the month.”

  1. Tharn… that word was regular vocabulary when I was a kid. The trick to not hitting them is to switch your lights off for a moment. They disappear off the road then.

  2. TomE says:

While I agree that Ingliss deserves the idiot award, he was unseated in the REPUBLICAN primary not the Democratic primary.

    • Disillusioned says:

Why the redundancy? Tony made it clear Ingliss was a Republican (don’t know his political affiliation today, nor do I care). First sentence in the OP:

“Bob Ingliss is a RINO former Congressman who was unseated by Trey Gowdy in the 2010 South Carolina Republican Primary.”

      • TomE says:

“Bob Ingliss is a RINO former Congressman who was unseated by Trey Gowdy in the 2010 South Carolina Republican Primary.”

When I read the column the next to the last word in the sentence was Democratic not Republican. It has been edited since I read and commented. Accuracy was my input.

  3. omanuel says:

Thanks for the reminder, rational thinking is not a requirement for election to the US Congress.

However this British MP figured out for himself what controls Earth’s climate:

  4. The month isn’t over yet.

  5. Eric Simpson says:

I don’t know how the numbskull Bob Ingliss ever got elected as a Republican in the first place. Thank God for Trey Gowdy kicking the loon out on his rear.

  6. gator69 says:

    Stupid is as stupid does.

    • omanuel says:

This skeptic, and perhaps others, once also believed Stalin’s environmentalist propaganda. This skeptic and many others are environmentalist at heart.

Therefore, i recommend being gentle with those who have not yet “seen the light.”

Ie., Bob Ingliss may be no more stupid than ordinary astronomers, nuclear physicists and engineers.

Most astronomers believe stars are made of hydrogen. Stars actually make and discard hydrogen to inter-stellar space as neutrons in the stellar core become hydrogen atoms in the photosphere.

Most nuclear physicists and engineers still believe nuclear stability is given by von Weizsacker’s “nuclear binding energy” equation – unaware that it disagrees with Aston’s correct 1922 definition of “nuclear packing fraction.”

  7. DD More says:

    Don’t know which is worse.
Getting science advice, because his kid told him he would only vote for him if he agreed with the Al Gore climate propaganda he had been hearing in school.
Being no smarter than your eco-brainwashed school child.

    • Gail Combs says:

Yes, A REAL Useful Idiot. Now he has a gig AS A REPUBLICAN pedaling Al Gore’s propaganda.

      Barf Gag…..

      • Ernest Bush says:

I no longer support the Republican Party. My meager funds will go directly to candidates like Scott Walker, Rand Paul, and Ted Cruz. The list of old line Republicans who are progressives in disguise seems to be growing. The Republican Party fundraisers no longer call me after I said some bad things to them. It was fun while it lasted.

  8. kuhnkat says:

McCarthyite attack?? OK, maybe you are a Fabian and not a commie!!

  9. Beale says:

It’s a small point, but according to all the sources I can find, the man’s name is Inglis (one S).
