Large Increase In Snow And Ice Since 2006

The usual criminals in the press corps are claiming that Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, and at a record low extent.

Satellite imagery shows that there is a lot more ice and snow than there was in 2006. (Note that the eye altitude has changed since 2006, but I aligned the land edges as closely as possible.)

2006 was the year with the highest summer minimum from the past decade, and ice levels are well above 2006.

The press has manged to spin a decadal increase in ice extent into a “record low.”  This is how journalists working for the $29 billion climate mafia operate. Arctic sea ice has been stable for three years, and there is no trend over the past decade.

Can someone provide a link that details the billions spent on AGW research/grants?

Try Jo Nova or WUWT and do a search within the blog.

Estimates put it at over a trillion dollars so far.

That must include money to crony capitalists like Solyndra, can’t be all research.

        • gator69 says:

You don’t think that Solyndra had an R&D department?

        • gator69 says:

And actually, I must clarify things a bit. There has never been any ‘research’ on AGW, all of this nonsense has been a ‘prosecution’. The IPCC never intended to ‘research’ AGW, their charter clearly states that this effort was simply a prosecution of man for his climate sins, and an assessment of the damage and needed reparations

“ … to assess on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis the scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant to understanding the scientific basis of risk of human-induced climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation. IPCC reports should be neutral with respect to policy.“

But yes, this scam has now cost trillions of dollars, and probably millions of lives.

On the blink compare you zoom in to 2015, exagerating the change. Alarmist style trick; please keep it clean.

  6. Andy DC says:

For the last two winters, Obama has been blaming his lousy economy on “bad weather”. Namely lots of cold and snow. When it suits his perposes, Obama is not afraid to admit that we are getting an unusual amount of cold weather. Talk about having it both ways!
