Hey, I am looking into Belize, but too late in life.
Scientists state there are two reasons for sea level rise, I think three.
1) glacial melts—not sea ice.
2) thermal expansion of water
3) In my opinion and research shoes- run off of water from land, that is from sub-terrestrial water storage waters. As an example the aquifer under seven US states is gradually being depleted and that is a significant, but by far not the only source. One study came up with a figure of 42% of any ocean rise
I do believe there is some rise in the oceans, but evidence shows that has been happening since the depths of the little ice age. Before that there is evidence of oceans lowering.
