The extent of Arctic sea ice has returned to stable 2005/2006 levels
The animation below flashes between 2006 and 2015. Unless there is another summer with strong southerly winds like in 2007, the amount of thick multi-year ice will be back to 2006 levels in a year or two, as the ice age increases.

In the story they report some ice is 8 feet thick. Ice is still around.
These leftists remind me of a Gilligan’s Island character, “Wrongway Feldman”. They could probably fix the economy simply by saying it is in a death spiral.
I think they know this. Which is why they claim every Summer is a Recovery Summer. They hate us.
The way the ice is nestled in there, it looks like another bad summer for the Arctic alarmists.
