Instead, we got the exact opposite with the quietest decade on record for US hurricanes.
It has been almost ten years since the US was hit by a major (category 3-5) hurricane – the longest such period on record.
Climate experts will parrot whatever mindless, baseless propaganda is needed to keep their funding stream alive.
And US Tornado 3 year averages have gone from 1,376 (dated 2011 – http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/torn/STAMTS11.txt) to 909 (Dated 8/15 – http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/torn/STAMTS.txt
So quiet you can hear lots of things.

More hurricanes prove global warming. Less hurricanes prove global warming. It’s the theory that everything proves because everything is caused by it whether it is moreless or lessmore of whatever it is.

Given that the two large tropical storm and hurricane areas are showing the effect of the AMO going cold the total named storms that are predicted may go the way of prior years predictions.
In 1988 Ted Danson (a TV actor, for you youngsters) warned in the LA Times that we had only “twelve years” until all the seas swamped us from all the hurricanes that were just waiting in the wings to do us in.
Agree with this, global warming would not increase or make cyclones stronger apart from in the long term. If that trend exists it would not be easy to spot over exceptionally long time scales. In the meantime variation from other sources would be far more impact.
