    Yellow journalism at its best.

I’m beginning to think that everyone should be required to take at least two years of geology.

No thanks, I had one of the best. He wrote the first geology textbook accepted nationally in US High Schools. He was my geology teacher for the first three years, and then I spent another 3-4 years with a number of other very talented profs. That is why I was immune to the CAGW disease from the start.

AGREED! Geology was why I was immune too. It also kept me from building a house IN the river like my neighbors. Why the idiot zoning board allowed building on the flood plain (aka IN the river) is beyond me. Great fertile farm land, great pasture but not the place to build homes.

Gail , follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road.

Islamic extremists & Climate extremists ; I’m beginning to wonder ; which is the greater problem?

    • It depends, I suppose, upon whether you prefer your misery retail or wholesale.

Both are funded by the same people and both use brown shirts and hitlerjugend.

On New Year’s Eve, the Turkish president described Adolf Hitler’s Germany as an example of an effective presidential system.

      • RAH says:

Many in the Muslim leadership have had an affinity for fascism even going back to WW II. Saddam idolized Hitler. Before that while the Brits were fighting the Italians and Germans to the west in Libya and Tunisia they constantly had to watch their backs in Iran/Iraq and use military force there at times because the leaders there were conspiring to work with Hitler. It was a very near thing not covered well in most general histories about WW II but Churchill forced his military, despite it’s limited resources, to divert enough forces to the east to take control before the Germans got established. Meanwhile the leadership of Turkey at the time sat on the fence and remained neutral because of fear of Hitler despite the US and UK doing all they could to get the Turks to present a united front with Greece early in the war and did not enter on the Allied side until two months before Germany capitulated.

You can look at any year out of of the last thousand and find a drought somewhere, a flood somewhere a famine somewhere, a tornado somewhere, etc. It is a big world out there and the weather is always doing something that people don’t like. You could cut carbon emissions to 0 and that would not change.

    • Gail Combs says:

Actually the weather over our life time has been very very nice. Think 1930s Dust Bowl or the Little Ice Age. That is why CAGW would be such a laugh….

….if they weren’t trying to change the economic model to Communism and raid our pockets.
