97% Proof Of Global Cooling And Warming

Saturday was -20F wind chill up on top of Sugarloaf Mountain, Maryland. They closed the road to cars, so my bicycle and I had the whole mountain to ourselves.

Carbon pollution spewing from the Dickerson Power Plant is what caused the record cold. That plant kept millions of DC area Democrats from freezing in the dark.

But on the other side of the country, it was very warm. Temperatures in  Boulder reached 69 degrees last week.

Clearly this must prove global warming. Except for the fact that Boulder gets warm weather like this almost every February. And February 9, 1954 reached 79 degrees.

The average maximum temperature in February 1954 was an incredible 61 degrees.

It was by far the warmest February on record.

There were 17 days over 60 degrees in February, 1954

CO2 was 310 PPM at the time.

Besides all the climate gibberish, the main purpose of this post is to show some new capabilities in PullingBackTheCurtain – which I will be releasing later today.

  1. CURTAIN CALL !!!! (dingbat play ended?)
Time to celebrate with CO2 dependent Champagne?

  2. Steve Case says:

I went skiing Groundhog Day at Key Stone I think it was 1995. Just an absolute gorgeous day. Thanks for reminding me of it.

  3. Marsh says:

That downhill road on sugarloaf looks ideal for skiing,, it would be a bit wild for a bicycle,, it’s all about balance & keeping a grip ; a bit like extremes with hot & cold Climate…

  4. Andy DC says:

Sometimes warm, sometimes cold. That is the way weather has been as far back as I can remember. Whatever seems different in the DC area is more frequent huge snowfalls. 15 years after experts determined that snow was a thing from the past, but after the fact determined that it is caused by global warming.

What kind of shoes do you wear for -20? I’m fine down to about +15 with two pairs of socks, (1 cotton, 1 wool) but that’s all I can cram in my normal riding shoes. 0 would be painful, and I’d risk losing a toe at -20.

Those pedals look flat. Do you just wear warm boots when it gets that cold?
