I do not know the song, but it appears that some once powerful world leaders and “consensus scientists” have also about reached the end of their journey too.
I was generally unsuccessful in trying to get them to accept reality, instead of the lure of power, recognition, prestige and wealth.
This is the dangerous turn of events I tried to avoid by recommending amnesty for those who deceived the public for seventy years (1946-2016) about the Sun’s source of energy,

This is the reality of modern science returning to the Daek Ages:

Oliver, enough spam already. This thread is about a musician who died. Do you have any decency at all? Maybe it is time you seek help, again.
The lure that drags humanity back toward the Dark Ages is the lure of altruism, superstition, collectivism and poverty, plus the urge to coerce people and take their values at gunpoint
Big Government
Most people, most average, people are basically pretty decent. If you are hungry, they will feed you, if your car breaks down they will give you a lift. The unfortunate corollary to that is that for most decent people, the most effective and time honored way to convince them to do evil is to lie them into it. Convince them that they are actually doing something good and decent people will do horrific things. “You are not murdering civilians, you are ridding the world of parasites so that your children can be free!” “You are not enslaving people, you are bringing them to a better world where they will learn the value of hard work and simplicity.” “You are not stealing, you are collecting a just and fair tax so that we can have a civilized society.”
The Progressives and the SJW, even as wrong and insane as they are, most of them (not the leaders) think that they are making the world a better place.
Oh, what a lucky man he was.
There is a difference between Greed & Need ; funding Climate Scientists represents the former.
But I do agree ; the Warming Prophets of doom are in need of a Swan Song..!
RIP Keith.
Keith Emerson is the one that died
Keith Emerson dies? Not such a lucky man afterall.
Neither was the subject of that song. I like the studio version better.
After all, c’est la vie…..
You’re a lucky man if your hobby is how you earn your living.
I hate to hear that. They were one of my favorite bands from that era. I never did get to see them live. I guess now I never will.
Sad. A suicide. May God have mercy on his soul.
I just finished reading a very good detailed history of the 1st Infantry Division at Omaha Beach. Two of the men from that Division who were awarded CMOH for their actions June 6th, 1944 eventually committed suicide. Virtually all of those awarded the Nations highest award for valor had problems later in life. Both of those men saw combat from N. Africa till they were evacuated for severe combat fatigue. One broke at the Hurtgen and the other at the Bulge. Both, one an officer and one an enlisted man, served over 440 days in front line combat. And both committed suicide when in their 40s. Both had physical wounds from which they recovered but it was the mental wounds that put them under 20 years or more after they were inflicted.
I found it remarkable that it seemed that both were broken by their concern for the men in their charge.
Who knows the true ferocity of the personal battles people fight in their own heads?
Hey RAH…good points. Even the soldiers who come home with all their arms and legs often have wounds in the mind that do not show. I spit on the politicians and businessmen who think that sending men into unnecessary combat is just another way to gain votes or pad the profit line.
I guess I’m getting old too. Too bad.
This is my favorite. It is one of the best of the ever.
