I listened live this morning. You did well, Steve. Thanks for all your efforts to restore society to sanity (aka contact with reality).

I did listen in and I think everything went well? I think Charles is too obvious about his political sympathies, which might chase away people not so inclined.
On the issue of Charlston being flooded in the past as well (what year?) you had a good chance to explain that weather is cyclical, as determined by solar factors.
    You did not do so.
it seems we are more or less the same age…..

    • I’m not a weather or climate forecaster. I’m a historian.

      Excellent observation, Henry.

I think Tony really needs to do interviews on Rachel Maddow or Ed Schultz, and write a few articles for Mother Jones and National Geographic. Also, it would have helped if President Obama gave him a shoutout in Havana and Bernie Sanders mentioned him on Twitter.

He needs to reach the right audience.

In 1989, Hurricane Hugo, a category 4 hurricane made a direct hit on Charleston, SC. At the time it was the costliest hurricane on record. Certainly hugely more damaging and significant than whatever minor flooding damage they had last year.

Like anything else in life, records are made to be broken. It is a big world and most flooding disasters are relatively localized. So in any given year, somewhere is bound to have a record flood. The same way it has been since the beginning of time.

Exactly, it has never been about the climate. A small elite and their progressive Brown Shirts don’t like ‘We The People’ . Climate Change/Warming is just one of the many scams to take our freedom and powers away (what is left of it).

  4. His experience is much like mine. As an engineering student my commie profs bombarded me with insinuations that nuclear energy is unsafe compared to anything else that lights and powers cities. When Jerry Pournelle defied me to produce cogent figures. When I tried, all my calculations showed he was right and I’d been duped. Petr Beckmann produced really good analyses, and guess what? The looters went blind and deaf as needed to ignore, blink or blank out all the factual evidence.

  5. Barbara says:

Thanks for sharing the interview with all us, your fans. Considering the brevity of your actual talk time on the program, you got to share a lot of good, honest, historical, and current information.
Charles Butler is a kindred soul. I will listen to his show again. One thing he said which I would change. The people aren’t dummies; they are ignorant. No support from parents to take advantage of education; and the schools are so (Here I can use the word.) dumbed down now and teach so little that is useful (or in science even accurate), it is hard for our youth to be anything but ignorant. And then there are the cultural problems!

Thanks for providing the YouTube of your interview Tony, I was unable to catch it live, and did not want to miss it. My only real complaint is that it was too short, and it was missing your awesome graphic presentations. Looking forward to the next.

Well done, Steve. Every time something like this goes out, some more people start to question the consensus, study the facts and see the light,
