Experts tell us that 2015 was the hottest year ever™, despite the fact that there was very little hot weather.

During July, 1936 afternoon temperatures at Fairfield, Iowa averaged 19F hotter than 2015. Every single July day in 1936 was hotter than 2015 (the hottest year ever™ .)

It was by far the longest heatwave at Fairfield.

Fairfield had a total of 20 days over 100 degrees during July, 1936.

They set their all-time temperature record of 114 degrees during July, 1936.

 The “hottest year ever™” doesn’t seem to have anything to do with actual hot weather, but lots to do with hot air ahead of  the Paris Climate Fraud Summit.

US Weather Is Getting Better

The area of the country affected by very hot days or very cold nights has been declining since the 1930’s.

The frequency of very hot and very cold weather is also decreasing.

The trend is similar for both very hot days and very cold nights.

Additionally, the frequency of US hurricane strikes (which peaked in the 1880’s) is down 25% since the Civil War and is now at historic lows

Summers Are A Thing Of The Past In The UK

It has been ten years since the UK had a heatwave which lasted more than two days.

Last summer the UK had two hot days on June 30 and July 1, which the Met Office declared the hottest ever.

The last real heatwave was in 1995.

The UK did have significant heatwaves in 1976 and  1995 – but none since.

NOAA’s US Climate Extremes Index Is Fraudulent

NOAA’s US Climate Extreme’s Index (CEI) shows that the area of the US affected by unusually hot weather has increased steadily to record highs since 1980.

The graph below shows just the daily highs.

The NOAA graph is not consistent with their raw data, which shows no such increase in the area of the US affected by unusually hot afternoon temperatures.

I overlaid the actual NOAA data on the NOAA CEI graph below.  The graphs were similar until about 1980, when the CEI graph sharply diverged from the underlying data.

What could have caused this divergence?  The primary factor is that the amount of fabricated data used by NOAA has increased since 1980 from 12% to 47%. If NOAA doesn’t have station data during a particular month, they simply make the data up for that station. For some reason, they have been losing huge amounts of data in recent years, and now almost half of their data is fake.

 I believe that they are losing cooler rural stations, and are using modeled data from hotter urban stations to fill in the missing data.

It also should be noted that this is not a temperature threshold issue. We see the same pattern if the threshold is set to 35C.

  

The CEI is a classic example of US Government junk climate science. They have created a fake warming trend which is the exact opposite of reality.

My $20,000 Bet For Bill Nye

Bill Nye wants to make bets about hottest year/decade ever.

My bet for Bill Nye is that the average percentage of hot days (over 90 degrees) at all NOAA United States Historical Climatology Network stations, will be lower this year/decade than it was in the 1930’s.

Are you up to the bet, Bill?  Or do you believe that “hot” means something other than  hot?
