Holdren – Snipping You Since 1969

“. . . it cannot be emphasized enough that if the population control measures are not initiated immediately and effectively, all the technology man can bring to bear will not fend off the misery to come.’Therefore, confronted as we are with limited resources of time and money, we must consider carefully what fraction of our effort should be applied to the cure of the disease itself instead of to the temporary relief of the symptoms. We should ask, for example, how many vasectomies could be performed by a program funded with the 1.8 billion dollars required to build a single nuclear agro-industrial complex, and what the relative impact on the problem would be in both the short and long terms.”

Population and Panaceas A Technological Perspective Paul R. Ehrlich, John P. Holdren – BioScience, Vol. 19, No. 12 (Dec., 1969), pp. 1065-1071

And let’s not forget these Gems.

Before 1985, mankind will enter a genuine age of scarcity…in which the accessible supplies of many key minerals will be facing depletion.—Paul Ehrlich in (1976)

In ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish.Paul Ehrlich, Earth Day (1970)
    .
The battle to feed humanity is over. In the 1970s, the world will undergo famines. Hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now. Population control is the only answer.
Paul Ehrlich, in The Population Bomb (1968)

I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.Paul Ehrlich in (1969)

It still amazes me how absolute insane and delirious people get their rants and ravings published when there are so many legitimate and brilliant people who can”t!

I really believe we are in the middle of parallel universes and stuck in the one called “Bizarro World!”

    Is a food crises looming?

Global food stocks are at a minimum at this moment in time.
If the US military makes the switch to bio fuels as they have announced and the US and Europe continue their quest to blend diesel and gasoline with bio fuels based on food stocks this will trigger price hikes and famine.

At the same time the world will become extremely vulnerable in case of a big calamity or a chain of calamities like weather induced crop loss or volcanic eruptions.

I personally am more worried about the criminal hacks that currently are in charge of strategic Government positions committed to execute their “Club or Rome” read UN Agenda.

Famine is their preferred technique to reduce our world population.

Anyone who starts a quote in mid sentence is hiding something.

  6. Tom says:

    Matt –

Having checked the citation given, the word missing at the start of the sentence is “Therefore” – not sure what that’s hiding. Do you have a (conspiracy) theory you’d like to share about this?

Get denutted. More people=fewer jobs, fewer opportunities, more overcrowding, more infectious disease, fewer resources, such as cleaner air and water. Wildlife is displaced out of its natural habitat and there are fewer green spaces. There is less privacy and much less happiness and quality of life with more and more people. Vasectomy is simple, cheap and safe. Not every man needs to spread his unremarkable genes. That is why women are more selective about who they wish to start a family to begin with. On the other hand, men are the ones competing with each other for women. If fewer and better men breed, it would be better for humankind overall and there would be fewer people who are mentally ill, violent, and who contribute nothing to society.
