GISS extrapolation shows much of the high Arctic 4-10C above normal for November, while DMI below (which has actual thermometers) shows November close to normal – for the same baseline 1958-2002.

Looking at the 250km GISS map below, it is easy to see what the problem is. They don’t have any actual data north of 80N. They make up most of their high Arctic temperatures.
Similar problems at the South Pole.
NOAA showed most of November far below normal temperatures across Antarctica.

Great, so all parts of the map that are red hot are the missing ones hmmmmmmmmmmm
Global warming isn’t showing up at the Poles. But it is showing up in James Hansen’s head.
I think what happened was that Dressler’s clouds wandered over Hansen’s imaginary thermometers and warmed everything up.
Why is Moscow so warm on the map?
