From the Hottest year ever, snow in SF thread, Baffled24 said:

““35 years ago, snow was due to cold. Modern cold and snow is due to excess heat.”

A rather stupid direct cause and effect statement. The heat changes the weather patterns; one place may get colder another warmer. One place may get wetter, another drier. Warmer in one place may still be cold. Warming cold places may bring more snow because there is more moisture to turn into snow and the temperature may be a little less minus. Steven, you can do better than appealing to simpletons.”

So which one is correct, the IPCC then, or Al Gore’s explanation now?

    Just like they’ve always said………..oh wait….

    On a related note,….. Here’s this little gem……

“As winter temperatures rise, more precipitation will fall as rain and less as snow. By the end of the century, the length of the winter snow season could be cut in half.”

“A 25 percent loss of the winter snow season.”

“Less precipitation falling as snow and more as rain”

“And compared with the past few decades, a greater proportion
would be expected to fall as rain rather than as snow.”

Now, some are trying to say they never said we’d have less snow…….

When you’re running your own cult, you get to make up the rules as you go.

If trouble arises around one of your rules, just change it for a little while, and wait for everyone to forget, or until some other trouble arises. You can always change it back if you need to.

From Joe Bastari in Vanity Fair: http://www.vanityfair.com/online/oscars/2011/02/joe-bastardi-explains-why-the-cold-miser-is-winning-the-climate-change-showdown.html

“‘We’ve had the 3rd snowiest weather in N. Hemisphere history, but moisture in snow pack is below normal. Which means it’s not because there’s more moisture but because it’s been colder. With the global temperature collapsing, you can’t be saying, ‘Well, it’s getting colder because it’s getting warmer.’ That’s the opposite argument they were using when the temperature was going up.'”

I guess the explanation that all that heat trapping gas is causing more moisure is wrong – must be from drymoist.

    Heretics!

I say, “Just wait. In a few billion years you’ll be sorry you didn’t believe in global warming when the Earth becomes a living Hell.”

And don’t try to tell me the sun will have anything to do with that!

  5. LightRain says:

Why can’t the IPCC/GISS/Hansen triad ever predict something BEFORE it happens instead of saying our models already proved that.

  6. Kramer says:

Wow, the link is dead. Wonder if it’s something like server maintenance or information suppression?
