I propose a competition between California and Texas. California runs for one year completely off green energy, and Texas runs for one year completely off fossil fuels.
At the end of the year, we can see if there is anyone left in California, and if the people who emigrated away are still left wing morons.

No Steven, they wouldn’t consider themselves morons in California. They would think of themselves as advanced over redneck Texas, progressive, ahead of the rest of America. If you lived in California you’d know what I mean. No matter what happens here Californians think things are better here than anywhere else. Windmills, solar panels, Smart cars—they feel they are ‘progressing’ into a better, higher life.
With the economy continuing downhill with no sign of turning around one day the bubble that California lives in will burst.
