Well that puts a damper on my hope that LA would fall into the sea . 🙂

WTF, sea level falls, city drowning? Up is down, right is left, black is white….very bad sophistry!

I am waiting for the mandate that LA residents wear life preservers at all times.

Yes, and they will be so trendy that everyone will start wearing them, and we’ll have a whole new commodity to manufacture! Good idea!

So, just who are these unnamed “leading scientists?” Can anybody still buy into this crap? It’s nothing but a 24/7 fear show in this country. If these “leading scientists” can’t be bothered to name themselves, I can’t be bothered to take this bullshit the least bit seriously, and neither should anybody else. Would these be the same “leading scientists” who tried to help Al Gasbag Gore institute his crooked carbon tax scheme over global warming (oops — I forgot that they’ve moved on to “climate change”)? Possibly the same intelligence (LMAO) people who told us that Saddam had WMD?

Or, has scizzorbill, without realizing it, hit the nail on the head? Did the life preserver industry pay these “leading scientists” to float this manure? Stay tuned . . . more fear on the way . . . don’t come out from under the bed just yet . . . booga booga . . .

The Los Angeles data is real. The Daily Mail article is about people’s opinions. The actual data of steady rise of 12 inches per century is becoming more out of line with real world examples. (NB – there may be an issue of calibration. This is not done independently, like weighing scales have been for over a century, yet the potential errors are huge.) Also warming has stopped and ice melt is not accelerating. So how on earth can expert opinion think there will a higher sea level rise than six years ago? Because they go beyond what is statistically significant. That is beyond the realms of what the data can say.
Read the leaked AR5 SPM draft, you will see even the consensus of alarmists admit there is no acceleration.
