Meeting with gun safety groups? The NRA does more for gun safety than any other organization out there.

The vice president will hear from the other side of the gun-control debate Thursday, when the nation’s leading gun lobby meets face to face with his task force in what could be a testy session. The National Rifle Association confirmed to Fox News that the group accepted an invitation to meet with the task force, which is running up against an end-of-the-month deadline to produce a set of proposals.”
I’m confused. How is the NRA, a gun owner lobby, considered the other side of “gun-advocacy”? Why are journalists not required to understand the language in which they work.

If the politicians had listened to the NRA decades ago we would be a lot better off now. The liberals just want to ban guns, Effectively solving any problems would eliminate most of their excuses.
