Crack experts from the Navy, as well as the US Secretary of State have forecast that the Arctic will be ice-free this summer. Currently the ice extent is almost exactly at the 1979-2000 mean.

Just you wait until a storm or a few icebreakers put a couple of cracks in the ice! If ice gets broken the alarmists will claim it no longer exists.
Ice melts thats the reality of it. Alarmists can’t except that. They believe there should be the same amount of ice in Winter as in Summer. Otherwise the World is Doomed. They do have a habit though of wanting to go up there on icebreakers to check the ice out and make sure they can dislodge more of it so the currents and wind can get to it. 🙂
Too bad that does not ‘mean’ anything but cherries.

I can’t wait for the “news” that the Arctic is ice-free. There’ll be heaps of stupid greenies jetting their way up to the pole (increasing their carbon footprints – hypocrites!) with canoes and freezing to death without a sign of water.
“Crack” might refer to what they are smoking or shooting up….
