Parts of New Mexico and west Texas have received 25% of their average annual precipitation during the past week, and the US drought monitor says that they are having an exceptional drought.

    OT … Steven where do you get your fire statistics numbers? I looked all over and can’t find it. I ‘m talking about the one that showed 2013 at the 2nd lowest for burned acres about 10 days ago. Thanks.

    The US drought monitor also has “abnormally dry” for part of the Florida panhandle, yet they are currently under a flood warning.

    What’s the latest on the arctic rowers? From the information on the website, they seem to be stuck in Inuvik. Maybe they are waiting for the ice to melt.
