He’s just the solution for the cold weather you’re having. Single handed he’s raised the entire US temperature by half a degree. Think what he could do if you could focus him on Colorado!

Got to keep reminding people that in 1988 Hansen also said that much of Manhattan would be underwater by 2008. Well, it’s nearly 2014, and Manhattan is the just the same as it ever was, sans a couple of tall buildings.

    Quotes from the loon:
“If Canada proceeds [with its tar sands oil development], and we do nothing…ice sheets would accelerate out of control. Sea levels would rise and destroy coastal cities. Global temperatures would become intolerable. Twenty to 50 percent of the planet’s species would be driven to extinction.” -Jams Hansen, 2012
“[in twenty years (2008)] the West Side Highway [and thus much of Manhattan] will be under water.” -James Hansen, 1988, NASA
“Chief executives of large fossil fuel companies [should] be put on trial for high crimes against humanity and nature.” -James Hansen, NASA
“It is clear that 1998 did not match the record warmth of 1934.” -James Hansen, NASA

Yes we must keep reminding them.
I particularly object to the meme of “…ice sheets would accelerate out of control”. So often the alarmist spew such nonsense saying this or that will happen and is ‘out of control’. Morons do not realize that these things are not ‘in control’ to start with.

    • Eric Simpson says:

What gets me, is we got melting accelerating out of control ice sheets, flooding seas, skyrocketing insufferable temperatures, half of the wild kingdom going extinct, all because… Canada develops its oil! Lol. Blame Canada!

    • Anthony S says:

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again.

In the late 80’s, there was a plan to relocate the West Side Highway from he current viaduct to a tunnel, a bit like the BIG Dig in Boston. Had that plan been carried out, the highway would have become below sea level by now, sea level rise or not.

  3. Joe says:

Hansen must be living in another world. I mean really, what kind of serious climate scientist makes a prediction like that?
