Neither is their constant rantings about a single weather event.
I put it together to show people that cherry picking weather events to ‘prove’ their case is futile. I could have picked any year with as good newspaper coverage and got similar headlines of bad / wild / crazy weather.

I’m wondering, during the great warming from 1800 to 1850 and the greater one from 1908 to 1942, when humans had produced very little CO2, there must have been lots of outgassing from the oceans compared to previous LIA levels. That must have raised the pH of the oceans quite a bit. How come nobody back then was ranting and raving about the great damage to the corals caused by ocean alkaninification? What’s wrong with people today

A real climate scientist would transpose all those events onto the current developed world and produce damage estimates. They could then procure more funding from the worlds liberal elites by showing how the reduction in such disasters is connected to all the CO2 being produced. Really, they could. They would just have to add the rational that in order to generate adequate CO2 to further reduce natural disaster, henceforth global government would have to be imposed on all people with a new global tax.
