I’m really not sure what to think of a record cold “high temp” at Devil’s Knob.

(I’ll stop here, way to many lame puns to be made on how to warm it up)

  2. EW3 says:

Goes without saying that by July of 2015 this July will be one of the ten hottest on record.

  3. we had two record lows again this week here in Wisconsin; makes for a dozen records this year

    2014, the year without a summer….

Cold all day here, too. Barely made 70 degrees in Upstate Rural NY. My hummingbirds are hammering their feeder drawing it all the way down, frantically preparing to migrate south again. Normally they hang out for another three weeks or so.

Yeah…it hit the balmy July-type high of 66F here today…currently 59F. More like a day in April (wet and rainy, too) than July.

    • Steve S says:

“frantically preparing to migrate south again” Nah…way too early. Downstate NY, have humming bird nest with 2 eggs as of today. Should hatch in another week. They have plenty of time left.

  6. emsnews says:

This entire year reminds me very strongly of 1977. 🙁

Lord I hope not. The following winter was quite an experience. I remember walking home from school (high school) in the blizzard of ’78. Was almost 2 miles, though I wimped-out and warmed-up at a friends house half-way. (up hill all the way!! Actually not, but us old fogies love to add that bit)

I guess I should replace the drive clutch on my snowblower before the snow flies….

  7. gofer says:

Yesterday in mid-Tn, it was 19 degrees below normal at 70 degrees.

    “Steven”,

Its not only in the US that the summer has been cool. Here in Madrid, Spain, this has to be the coolest July I have experienced here. It is unheard of to have daily maximum of only 22 or 23 deg. C, and it happened 2 weeks ago, and this weekend too.

I noticed that Marc Morano and the guys at Climate Depot have recorded a few more cold events from around the country.
    Included is

Longview, TX smashes all-time July record lowest-high temp by 2 degrees F – ‘The old record was 73 set back in 1925 and 1953’ – ’48 hours for the weather record books in East Texas’

Dallas ‘Record July Cold’ : First time in 52 years that the high temp for two consecutive July days stayed in the 70s: ‘Temperatures this cool in July are rare, especially for more than a day.

‘Cleveland sets new record low Friday morning’

Meteorologist Joe Bastardi: “Planet Is Going To Be Cooling Next 20 To 30 Years Because Of Natural Processes” About the 3-minute mark he comments on the blather and claims that CAGW causes more cold weather and also how John Holdren, “was mouthing off on how global warming was causing it to get so cold back in January”.
