Last Summer, Moscow Was Climate – Since Then It Is Been Just Weather

The press has no interest in Moscow any more. Four weeks of hot weather was climate. Eight months of cold is just weather.

MOSCOW, April 9 (Itar-Tass) — The heavy snowfall, which swept the capital and the surrounding region overnight and is still continuing, and gusts of wind have cut off electricity supply from a number of power lines, a source at the Moscow Integrated Electricity Distribution Company said on Saturday.

“As of 10:00, problems with electricity supply are experienced by residents in the Moscow Region’s 70 localities with the population of about 3,000 people. The main strike of the snowfall hit the south and the east of the suburban region. In particular, 123 transformer substations are cut off in the Ramenskoye district, 56 in the Podolsk district, 54 in the Chekhov district, 51 in the Stupino district and 47 in the Kolomna district, said the company’s report received by Itar-Tass.

    “Arctic Climate Grows Warmer”

“A period of warm winters in Western Greenland”

    “Arctic Definitely Warmer”

  2. Jimbo says:

Even if the cold broke record they would still refer to it as weather. When it’s the other way round it’s climate.

    • Dr. Killpatient says:

Nope…they would say the record-breaking cold is consistent with what they’ve been warning us about all along, and then remind us about how ignorant we are.

  3. Andy Weiss says:

The heat in Moscow last summer was phenomenal. The cold and snow over much of the US the last two winters was phenomenal. The weather is usually doing something phenomenal somewhere in the world. That is why it is interesting and gets people hooked on it.

    • Latitude says:

Actually, none of it was phenomenal or unprecedented……….

the last one I would classify that way was the dust bowl
