45 Years Since Paul Ehrlich Wanted To Poison Africans, To Stop Global Cooling

Before climate expert Paul Ehrlich was worried about global warming, he was worried about global cooling – and wanted to poison Africans.

Ehrlich and Obama’s science adviser John Holdren, warned of a new ice age.

So Ehrlich proposed to the UN that they poison the water and food supply of Africa and Asia.

FYI Here is an excerpt from climate exaggerator Chris Mooney’s buddy Sheril Kirshenbaum on her irritation of party twits spewing Malthusian fear and why Malthusians were so wrong in their fear promoting predictions. She touches on the old idea of “waste not want not” and speaks to how much food is grown and never consumed, which wastes resources unnecessarily. She misses the mark on storms and drought but it is not a focus of her main point which is the stupidity of Malthusians blaming babies for the destruction of the planet.

“Scientific models warning us about unchecked population growth have been around for hundreds of years, most notably from the reverend Thomas Malthus in the late 18th century who concluded that “the power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in the earth to produce subsistence for man.”

More recently, a work that sparked ethical questions over whether couples ought to have children came in 1968 from Stanford professor Paul Ehrlich. His book, The Population Bomb, sounded an alarm that there would not be enough food to support humanity over coming decades. He predicted famines in the 1970s would kill hundreds of millions of people and only stringent birth control measures could be the solution. When The Population Bomb became a bestseller, overpopulation was dubbed the leading environmental crisis of our time and couples at home and abroad began to reconsider whether they would have children at all. (Think Eric Holthaus crying while boarding a jet and considering a vasectomy to save the planet)

These dire predictions didn’t come to pass. Five decades after The Population Bomb’s publication, average calories consumed per person have risen in populous countries such as India and China. The Green Revolution made it possible to grow more food so that where and when famines do occur today, they are largely the result of distributional shortcomings rather than an inadequate food supply.”

How on earth can you ignore the ‘one child’ policy in China? That is directly responsible for stopping out of control population growth. In Africa, it continues and it is happening to Haiti, for example.

Birth control in general has dropped population growth successfully in all industrialized nations. In all Muslim nations, it rages out of control and places like Saudi Arabia, for example, are in the middle of a huge population crisis.

Most Muslim nations deal with this via everyone killing each other which seems to be true in Africa, too.

      • CJ says:

Has birth control been unequivocally successful in the industrialized nations in the long run? If so, I guess the current emphasis on encouraging baby making would not be here today.

      • Brian H says:

BS. Population growth is declining in ALL parts of the world; the only projection ever even close to reality is the Low Fertility band of the UN Population Survey, which now projects a peak of about 8bn in 2040s, and declines indefinitely thereafter. I think reduction of food pressure has reduced the atavistic urge to breed-to-survive, and made smaller families stable.

      Toward a Planetary Regime

Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime—sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist. Thus the Regime could have the power to control pollution not only in the atmosphere and oceans, but also in such freshwater bodies as rivers and lakes that cross international boundaries or that discharge into the oceans. The Regime might also be a logical central agency for regulating all international trade, perhaps including assistance from DCs to LDCs, and including all food on the international market.

The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries’ shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits.

What is very frightening is that Pascal Lamy, former Director-General of the World Trade Organization and possible new leader of the EU echos this garbage thirty years later!

It is not the same words but the ideas behind the words are the same. Lamy even states that the ideas were formulated back in the 1930s, before most of us were even born yet this goal of world wide serfdom (and stripped of the rhetoric that is what it really is) , is still alive and well today. The Central Bankers have not given up there hope for that ‘Utopia’

      Whither Globalization?
…In the same way, climate change negotiations are not just about the global environment but global economics as well — the way that technology, costs and growth are to be distributed and shared….

Can we balance the need for a sustainable planet with the need to provide billions with decent living standards? Can we do that without questioning radically the Western way of life? These may be complex questions, but they demand answers.

At the same time, globalization is blurring the line between national and world issues, redefining our notions of space, sovereignty and identity. As we saw during the recent financial crisis, economic turbulence in one country now sends shockwaves worldwide. [This is why the financial crisis was deliberately manufactured]

And finance is not the only area where domestic issues are turning into global concerns. Countries claim the right to use national resources as they see fit. But the byproduct can be greenhouse gases or disappearing fish stocks or raw material shortages — which impact the interconnected world we share.

It is true that popular criticism of globalization can be irrational — or worse. But it is equally true that people are increasingly, and legitimately, worried about unemployment, poverty and growing inequalities, about the health of the planet, about the safety of their children’s food, about the basic rights of their fellow women and men. [Rah Rah Social Justice! straight from Willi Muenzenberg’s Innocents Clubs.]

How to resolve the tension between the globalization of issues and our narrow national interest? How to avoid a “democratic deficit” — a gap between the international system and the people whose interests it is meant to serve?

This raises a final challenge: How to provide global leadership?…

The reality is that, so far, we have largely failed to articulate a clear and compelling vision of why a new global order matters — and where the world should be headed. Half a century ago, those who designed the post-war system — the United Nations, the Bretton Woods system, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) — were deeply influenced by the shared lessons of history. [The Bretton Woods system was designed by Soviet Spy Harry Dexter White while working as a high-ranking Treasury department official.]

All had lived through the chaos of the 1930s — when turning inwards led to economic depression, nationalism and war. All, including the defeated powers, agreed that the road to peace lay with building a new international order — and an approach to international relations that questioned the Westphalian, sacrosanct principle of sovereignty — rooted in freedom, openness, prosperity and interdependence….

The 1930s chaos was deliberately orchestrated by the Central Bankers.
McFadden’s Speeches before Congress in the 1930s

According to Milton Friedman: The Great Depression Could Have Been Avoided if the Fed Had Not So Badly Botched Its Monetary Policy

Secrets of the Federal Reserve: Chapter 13 — The 1930’s

…Since the Federal Reserve System was guilty of causing this disaster, we might suppose that they would have tried to alleviate it. However, through the dark years of 1931 and 1932, the Governors of the Federal Reserve Board saw the plight of the American people worsening and did nothing to help them. This was more criminal than the original plotting of the Depression….

  4. Andy says:

Perhaps all the global warming missing heat has been hiding in their underwear and thereby causing the fertility drop off?

  5. Gail Combs says:

The US government has followed Ehrlich’s advice.

A USDA grant funded Epicyte who developed a GM corn with a “rare class of human antibodies that attack sperm.”

Announcing his success at a press conference, the president of Epicyte, Mitch Hein, pointing to his GMO corn plants and announced, “We have a hothouse filled with corn plants that make anti-sperm antibodies.”

Shortly after the 2001 Epicyte press release, all discussion of the breakthrough vanished. The company itself was taken over in 2004 by Biolex [of Pittsboro NC] and nothing more was heard in any media about the development of spermicidal corn….

(Those are about the only two live links I have left.)

There have also been “Reports” that allege various other methods of sterilization including vaccines. A list of them is HERE. This is one of the reasons some people are anti-GMOs and anti-vaccines.

You could dismiss all this as way out conspiracy theory except for Bill Gates Talks ‘Vaccines to Reduce Population’ and the fact that the founding Director-General of UNESCO was a Eugenicist.

Fabian Socialist Sir Julian Huxley became the first Director-General of UNESCO, he authored UNESCO: ITS PURPOSE AND ITS PHILOSOPHY (1948) in which he revealed that

“even though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care, and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake so that much that is now unthinkable may at least become thinkable.”

…It was during this time of the early 20th Century that Rockefeller introduced Margaret Sanger to the monied elite who would help her form the Birth Control League which would later become Planned Parenthood. The November 1921 issue of Sanger’s Birth Control Review carried the heading “Birth Control: To Create A Race of Thoroughbreds,” and Sanger would later advocate eugenically limiting “dysgenic stocks” such as blacks, Hispanics, American Indians and Catholics, as well as “slum dwellers” such as Jewish immigrants.

In 1926, Rockefeller money funded the founding of the American Eugenics Society, and the next year on May 2, 1927, the U.S. Supreme Court by an 8 to 1 majority ruled in Buck v. Bell that certain “unfit” people could be forcibly sterilized. Regarding this ruling, British [Fabian Socialist] Professor Harold Laski wrote his friend Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes: “Sterilize all the unfit, among whom I include all fundamentalists.”
The Dark Roots of EUGENICS By Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D.

And to top it off with real world data, I always want real world data, this interesting report from the UN on African fertility:

    Demographic Change in Sub-Saharan Africa
Barney Cohen reviews levels, differentials, and trends in fertility for more than 30 countries from 1960 to 1992. He finds evidence of fertility decline in Botswana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe, confirming the basic results of the DHS. What is new here though is his finding that the fertility decline appears to have occurred across cohorts of women at all parities, rather than just among women at middle and higher parities, as might have been expected on the basis of experience in other parts of the world. He also presents evidence that fertility may have begun to fall in parts of Nigeria and possibly in Senegal….

  6. Mom2Girls says:

Gail. Look at fertility rates in the younger people in this country. The ones born since GMO’s entered the food supply and the vaccine schedule tripled, beginning in the early 90’s. Teen pregnancies have cratered in that group. Even among demographics that don’t normally have any sort of social discouragement of teen pregnancies. Am I supposed to believe that, after 40 years of kvetching at this particular age demographics, that these kids just suddenly decided to practice birth control?

IIRC that teen pregnancy rates, the last number that was released, were lower than the number of teen pregnancies in the early 1940’s. When most women had at least one birth as a teen because lots of them got married right out of high school.

    • Gail Combs says:

There is also a report that babies in the USA are “mysteriously shrinking”

Birthweights in the US are falling but no one knows why, according to a study of 36.8 million infants born between 1990 and 2005.

A 52-gram drop in the weight of full-term singletons – from an average of 3.441 to 3.389 kilograms – has left Emily Oken’s team at Harvard Medical School scratching their heads. It can’t be accounted for by an increase in caesarean sections or induced labours, which shorten gestation. What’s more, women in the US now smoke less and gain more weight during pregnancy, which should make babies heavier. Oken suggests that unmeasured factors, such as diet or exercise, could explain why babies are being born lighter….

So is this proof that in this one example Paul Ehrlich was right? The amount of sufferring in Africa is unbelieveable and continues to grow and is being exported to the rest of the world.

    • Chijioke says:

Do you think “Africa’s” problem is population explosion? Think again. The problem is mainly a lack of credible institutions which is fuelling corruption and lack of accountability. If population was the problem, why do the highly populated (e.g. Nigeria) and the small members (e.g. Lesotho) have similar developmental challenges? Unbridled population growth does no one any good; that is given. But to portray birth control (and an offensive kind for that matter) as the panacea for Africa’s problems is over-simplifying the issue at best, an oversimplification that has been the hallmark of Western policy prescriptions for Africa over time (like the Structural Adjustment Programmes).

  8. pwl says:

Those that suggest population control need to lead the way by taking themselves out of the population pool. Please do it so that there is no mess for others to clean up. Thanks.

  9. inMAGICn says:

Just to let you know; having lived in Africa for 4 years in the late ’70s, extreme environmentalism then as now is the most racist philosophy this side of the Klan. Except the deaths due to environmental lunacy has killed far more Africans than any action by the KKK.

  10. B says:

Looks like all the bases have been hit by others.
Now the question is, how to move these things from conspiracy theory in the minds of the masses to the facts they are?

Every time those doing these things get caught they claim it was an “accident”. When people in the third world rightfully evade vaccination and food aid and anything else they suspect has been tainted or will otherwise do something to them they are portrayed as ignorant and superstitious.

Then when word of these “accidents” reaches people in the first world and people start suspecting that maybe it’s not just those brown people over there being subjected to it, the attacks are even more vicious.

There’s a lot of stuff that shouldn’t even be worked on, and a number of things happening that shouldn’t be, unless there was something afoot.

  11. Jeffk says:

He and his alarmist ilk merely changed masks. Because the “overpopulation” myth was exposed by agricultural scientific advances feeding more and more people, including a Chinese middle class (thanks to capitalist investment) of over 300,000,000 there already. Now the wolves who wanted to poison Africans have a new mask called “climate change.”

  12. First thing we do is kill all the masterminds!

    • Gail Combs says:

Since the French Revolution they have become craftier and we only know who their front men are.

      excerpts from
      The New Freedom
a book by Woodrow Wilson, 1961

      Pg. 20:
In most parts of our country men work, not for themselves, not as partners in the old way in which they used to work, but generally as employees,–in a higher or lower grade,–of great corporations. There was a time when corporations played a very minor part in our business affairs, but now they play the chief part, and most men are the servants of corporations.
You know what happens when you are the servant of a corporation…. If the corporation is doing the things that it ought not to do, you really have no voice in the matter and must obey the orders, and you have oftentimes with deep mortification to co-operate in the doing of things which you know are against the public interest. Your individuality is swallowed up in the individuality and purpose of a great organization. [HMMMmm that sounds familiar doesn’t it?]

It is true that, while most men are thus submerged in the corporation, a few, a very few, are exalted to a power which as individuals they could never have wielded. Through the great organizations of which they are the heads, a few are enabled to play a part unprecedented by anything in history in the control of the business operations of the country and in the determination of the happiness of great numbers of people.

      Pg. 24:
Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.

They know that America is not a place of which it can be said, as it used to be, that a man may choose his own calling and pursue it just as far as his abilities enable him to pursue it; because to-day, if he enters certain fields, there are organizations which will use means against him that will prevent his building up a business which they do not want to have built up; organizations that will see to it that the ground is cut from under him and the markets shut against him.

Two of the corporations I worked for had “organizations… see to it that the ground is cut from under him and the markets shut against him.” when they got too competitive.

In one case it was Shell Oil using the WWF and the MSM to start and fan the flames of the “Polystyrene is Evil campaign” just as Sweetheart Plastics, Polysar and McDonald’s were about to run ads on TV announcing a break through. A plant that would take post consumer trash from McDonalds and recycle it using a plant especially designed (by my boss) to use handicapped people.

Birth control has been the great liberator of women worldwide. The maternal death rates have fallen very fast, fewer teens having babies=fewer maternal deaths.

The world still is in a population crisis. You are mainly protected from this via huge oceans here in the US. Meanwhile, in Europe, waves of refugees from the grossly overpopulated Middle East, Pakistan, India, all of Africa, are pouring into Europe and causing gigantic problems which caused so many voters to vote for anti-immigration parties there this latest election.

The idea that the world’s population can double in size every twenty years is insanity. I expect nonstop attacks from you all here due to saying all this.

But simple science should warn you, NOTHING in the entire universe can double in size forever. This is just physically impossible.

Birth control has been the great liberator of women worldwide….
      >>>>>>>>>>>>
I will agree with you there but sterilizing young girls WITHOUT permission ESPECIALLY when that sterilization is accompanied by “…seizures, migraines, pneumonias, personality disorders, fatigue, menstrual issues, vomiting, diarrhea, and the list goes on…” is an entirely different matter. That is treating women even worse than I treat my ewes. (OK, I spoil them rotten.)

Modern civilization with modern education and equal rights for women instead of sharia law making them slaves should be your goal. Yet it is Progressives who SUPPORT sharia law AND support depopulation of the poor. These are diametrically opposite in terms of population growth but both share subjugation of people, especially women in common.

Do you see the problem here?

As far back as the 1970s the solution to the food problem in Africa was solved. E. M. Smith writes about the solution HERE. It is a simple solution easily implemented of local material by local people, yet after close to fifty years and trillions of dollars in “Aid” Africa STILL has the same problems.

Like everything else this is NOT by chance:

Today I resigned from the staff of the International Monetary Fund after over 12 years, and after 1000 days of official fund work in the field, hawking your medicine and your bag of tricks to governments and to peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean and Africa. To me, resignation is a priceless liberation, for with it I have taken the first big step to that place where I may hope to wash my hands of what in my mind’s eye is the blood of millions of poor and starving peoples. Mr. Camdessus, the blood is so much, you know, it runs in rivers. It dries up too; it cakes all over me; sometimes I feel that there is not enough soap in the whole world to cleanse me from the things that I did do in your name and in the name of your predecessors, and under your official seal.
      http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/IMF_WB/Budhoo_IMF.html

I have already written about the Fabians, the London School of Economics, the bankers, KGB, Stalin and the Bretton Woods Agreements. So connect the dots please. The elite want a small population of docile servants/serfs/slaves and that is what they are working towards. Unfortunately with the DNA testing of every baby born in the USA and the UK plus DNA testing of all convicted criminals plus people accused of minor infractions via bribery they are coming very close to that goal.

DNA Testing – Personality and Behaviour

Traditionally, scientists and psychologists have studied identical twins who share the same genes to find out if differences in personality and behaviour can be put down to the environment. Scientists have discovered through DNA testing that around half of our personality traits are hard-wired into our genes. But some behaviour is more elusive – perhaps because scientists first have to work out what these genes are through DNA testing and then work out how they interact.

      DNA Testing and Genetics

The future of DNA testing and genetics worries some sociologists who fear that genetic profiling could incite intolerance or discrimination….

Now do you REALLY want them to sterilize everyone THEY decide is a problem? They are already drugging the crap out of our bored to tears gifted children.

Straight from the Fabien Society co-Founder’s pen and I see absolutely nothing that makes me thing the attitude of our “Betters” has changed.

      EXTERMINATION OF THE “SOCIALLY INCOMPATIBLE

“The notion that persons should be safe from extermination as long as they do not commit willful murder, or levy war against the Crown, or kidnap, or throw vitriol, is not only to limit social responsibility unnecessarily, and to privilege the large range of intolerable misconduct that lies outside them, but to divert attention from the essential justification for extermination, which is always incorrigible social incompatibility and nothing else.”

A part of eugenic politics would finally land us in an extensive use of the lethal chamber. A great many people would have to be put out of existence simply because it wastes other people’s time to look after them.”
Source: George Bernard Shaw, Lecture to the Eugenics Education Society, Reported in The Daily Express, March 4, 1910.

“The moment we face it frankly we are driven to the conclusion that the community has a right to put a price on the right to live in it … If people are fit to live, let them live under decent human conditions. If they are not fit to live, kill them in a decent human way. Is it any wonder that some of us are driven to prescribe the lethal chamber as the solution for the hard cases which are at present made the excuse for dragging all the other cases down to their level, and the only solution that will create a sense of full social responsibility in modern populations?”
Source: George Bernard Shaw, Prefaces (London: Constable

Is it any wonder that when Shaw designed the Fabian Stain Glass Window, recently placed with honor on display in the London School of Economics by Tony Blair, he shows Sidney Webb and himself striking the Earth with hammers to “REMOULD IT NEARER TO THE HEART’S DESIRE.” And above their heads, Shaw also includes a wolf in sheep’s clothing in the Fabian crest.
