There’s no chance of anything changing before he retires – or after.

When you’re up a blind alley going further up it is not really helpful.

I don’t believe that, I don’t buy it. That a defeatist attitude, and I strongly object to it. They want you to think you are powerless. We are not.

  2. Disillusioned says:

I especially cringed at Trenberth’s [un]scientific WAG about the missing heat having gone deep sea diving. Sheesh! What a load of crap!

While the likes of Trenberth, Mann and Schmidt keep feeding our liberal fascist politicians fraudulent climate BS, the Chinese and Russians are making hay (as well as laughing their asses off at the self-destruction of western science).

    • Snowleopard says:

IMHO the missing heat is “Lost in Space”!

There might be some increased heat various places in the deep ocean due to increased volcanic activity, but there is no measurement system in place to verify that.

      • Disillusioned says:

Bingo. The predicted hot spot over the Equator has never been found. It doesn’t exist, because excess heat is escaping into space as it always has.

    • Herve D says:

Fully right ! These “bad guys” are the future of human science, whiles the West’s one is dying in “politically correct BS”, the new way of mental totalitarism. It also appears to everyone that present western socio-scientific-political system is corrupted to the bone and doomed to disappear since the youndsters have their brain formatted as such.

Trenberth must be puzzled by sunrises and sunsets.

CORRECTION: “The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t.”

“The fact is that the US National Academy of Sciences has lied to the American public about the Sun for seventy years.”

    • omanuel says:

The AGW debate ended when Steven Goddard identified manipulation of data.

But this time, the scoundrels that used public funds to deceive the public must not be allowed to walk silently away from defeat to deceive again.. That is what happened forty years ago in 1975.

After WWII and formation of the UN in 1945, the US NAS joined other national academies of science to use public research funds to hide the Sun’s source of energy.

Forty to fifty-five years ago in 1960-1975, isotope analysis of meteorites indicated meteorites formed from fresh, poorly mixed supernova debris at the very birth of the solar system.

A NAS scientist falsely claimed the data could be explained by super-heavy element fission in meteorites.

The superheavy element fable was openly debated in 1977. Here is the “Superheavy Element Fission” debate that the US National Academy of Sciences lost in 1977:

“Strange xenon, extinct super-heavy elements, and the solar neutrino puzzle,” Science 195, 208-210 (1977):

But NAS never admitted defeat and thus survived to deceive again with the AGW fable.

This time, NAS must admit their participation in deception of the public, or Congress must disbar NAS from any control over the distribution of public funds to federal research agencies in the future.

      • We have a president who, through some kind of hypnosis or brainwashing, has about 55% of the adult population completely convinced that:

        1) He has the absolute right to get whatever budgetary items he wants, no matter what they are, no matter what the cost, and no matter what percent of the public opposes a certain item.

        2) If either house of Congress tries to remove one of his pet items, it is those members of Congress, and not the President, who must pay a political price.

No real budgetary change is possible under such circumstances. This is a case of mass insanity.

Of course he does, he’s 63 now, he hasn’t much longer left.

Hey now! I’m 59 and I’m kinda hoping I have a lot more time left.

        • gator69 says:

I think Kelvin was just being a little optimistic regarding Trenberth’s genetic disposition, and he has good reason for that.

The longer the Pause goes, the travestier it gets.

  7. johnbuk says:

Tony, you’ve taken that out of context. Kevin was obviously referring to the fan heater in the office toilet. “Travesty” was the spell-check version of “Lavatory” which he was trying to type.

  8. darrylb says:

That Trenberth email comment from the released emails in 2009.
Trenberth is basically full of Trenberth and that makes him a sad case.
