After creating complete chaos in the Middle East and accelerating Iran’s nuclear weapons development – John Kerry is off to save the Arctic.
Washington – Secretary of State John Kerry will visit the Arctic Circle next week for key ministerial talks on climate change amid global concerns about rising seas and accelerating ice melt.
Global warming is happening twice as fast in the Arctic than elsewhere on the planet and many fear not only devastating impacts of warming but also from an influx of people and industry on the pristine environment, wildlife and Inuit culture.
Sea level has been rising for 22,000 years. It will continue to rise until Earth begins to cycle back towards the next ice age.
Arctic melt this year has been the slowest on record, with almost no change in extent over the past 60 days.
Arctic sea ice volume is rapidly expanding and higher than it was seven years ago.
The past few summer melt seasons have been the coldest on record north of 80N
South of 82.5N, Arctic temperatures have been flat for a decade.

Scientists made the same claims about the Arctic 70 years ago. Arctic climate is cyclical.

I’m surprised Russia “sold” missiles to Iran,,, when they give them to separatists in Eastern Ukraine (shooting down a passenger plane). No Global Warming ; perhaps a Cold War..?

The Russians are not mad at all. If they succeed in creating instability in the Middle East the oil price will rise rapidly regardless of Saudi promises to keep their wells flowing. Putin is desparate for high oil prices to return – without them his rule is threatened.
